I am considering replacing my broken electrical sending unit with a mechanical one that connects directly to the tank, in the hope that it will be more reliable. There is already a hatch above the tank installed. Does anyone have any experience with these? If so, what size would a 1998 21 SE need?

got it thanks. have not received a response from parker, does anyone know what the depth dimension for the fuel tank in a 1998 21SE is?

The tank depth in my 1996 deep V walkaround 2110 (100 gallon tank) is 16". I measured it after I took out the original malfunctioning sender. If you have a 100 gal. tank, it's likely the same, but I suggest measuring. I recently ordered and installed a 15" WEMA unit. It went in easily and seems to read correctly based on the amount of gas in my tank now. Unfortunately, the one of the threads stripped upon the install and I still haven't dealt with that yet.
