Mounting a garmin radar dome. I have the cable coming through the roof behind the dome light in the pilot house. Any tips on routing this cable down behind the dash? The cable is fairly stiff and about 1/2" thick, with a large 1.25" wide connector on the end. Seems like it's going to be tough to hide.

Thanks.

I have mine run down the side of the window in a black spiral wrap like in the picture. Use the screws on the window to hold cables in place with nylon straps, doesn't look that bad if you keep it neat. My radar folds down so it has to be able to move in and out by about 2 feet or so. I'll try to snap some pics for you. If you look at the 2530 for sale in the classified section you can see he put rug the same color as the interior around his cables.

Thanks that was the one place I could see doing it. Come down under the dome light, move right along the back (outside) of the factory wiring channel along the roof, then down the corner by the window frame, back then down again into the spot where the throttle cables go into the side of the helm. Don't think there's any where to hide this particular monster of a cable.

I mounted a fan and my VHF on the roof on the sabd side of the pilot house, will help conceal the wire a little more.

Just drill a hole in the dash right in the middle of the two windows or behind the fish finder like in the pic below.

This is the 2530 in the For Sale section, my run is similiar only not covered with fuzzy stuff.
