I just filled my tank I went 200 miles all back bay. It took 100 gallons. That's 2 miles per gallon. I have a 2320 Parker Suzuki 250 4 stroke. I do run her hard. I'm always over 4000 RPM 30 miles per hour. I do run it WOT at 5600 rpm. I always have 3 people and gear. Can any one tell me what they are getting? This tank I'm trying to stay under 5000 rpm. I would like to here what you get. Yamaha or Suzki or any 250 -4 stroke.

I could be wrong but my guess is that you are not going to find a comparable response on fuel burn, as I know of no one that would run a 4stroke in that RPM range as the norm.. My opinion is cruise at 4400-4500 max and save fuel and the motor! Mike

I know, I run them hard. Today I went out and stayed at 4000 rpm. The motor is mounted all the way down. I going to raise it 2 holes more. What's your input where to raise? One more or two or three or 4 ?

With my old 200 HPDI I was Getting 1.8 until I raised motor. I got over 2.2 to 2.8. I though with this motor I was going to get over 2. Suzuki says 25 percent better then all other 4 stroke. Hmmm. I got a e mail from rob at Parker. They just tested a 2320 250 4 stroke. 1.8 at 5000 rpm 2 at 4000 rpm. I'm right there. No wonder guys jump all over my HPDI to buy it. I miss my hold shots with that 2 stroke. I tested this motor when they installed it. It had 1/4 tank. I'm at full tank now. That 140 gall of gas makes a big difference.

We recently dinged our Suzuki prop 3 X 16 X 17.......But also just found out that it was actually a 3 X 16 X 17.8

So while the repair was going on we had them make it 3 X 16 X 16.5....... IE: took some pitch out.

The boat gained some RPM.....What we wanted , but lost some top speed.....Don't really care as the DF-300APX would overspeed the hull anyway. A 2530 Med. deadrise is not designed to run over 40MPH.

Anyway......It went from 2.5MPG to 2.7MPG 4800RPM =31MPH . That's the sweet spot. Top speed down a little 43MPH was the fastest it had been. But the RPM was down. Now it's 5900RPM = 39ish MPH.

That sounds about right. exactly what I'm getting in terms of fuel economy and Rpms. I'm running at 40 top end at 5800. With my 250 etec. I have a 3x15.75x15 which is a true 17 pitch talking to Ken at prop gods.

I send pict to ken of my motor where the fin are in water. I going to buy a 4 blade prop. It's one one dale said to get. Ken sad I would probably go 4 blade first.

Doesn't look too low, and if you raise it, that prop will probably start ventilating.

You might be able to go higher with a 4 blade though.

Probably want to stay with a 20 pitch LFS4 from Powertech. This picture is a 35 mph with the motor trimmed. I don't think I'm raising motor. Got with a 4 blade. You guys were saying mod v can not go over 40. How about my deep V.

Don't know..... Don't own one and have never been on one.

Your motor height is spot On. :)

I can get my 2520 mv up to about 42mph, even 43 if the weather, tide and loading cooperate. I'm not saying the hull was designed for that speed, it does take a lot of power to get there and my fuel economy is not very good.

Do you have MV or DV ? My 2320 DV likes 40 mph. I hit 43 with no problem. I don't know if a deep V should start listing like a sail boat at some point of speed but it's not 43 mph. I love going fast. Wish I put a 300 like yours.

Web have had our's as hing as 42.6MPH.......I didn't say a med V wouldn't do it, but it doesn't like it.

It's the way the boat handles.

A deeper V will handle better. But a LOT has to do with the deadrise and the Length to width aspect ratio.

As a example : canoe takes very little effort to move.....It's narrow and long.......That's why they use Panga's in 3rd world countries.

Narrow and long with reduced HP motors.

Our 25 Parkers are wide in comparison to most trailer boats. 9 1/2ft beam compared to most that are 8 1/2ft beam.

It's a compromise. We get more room
