Outside... of what?
I used a bass boat riser mounted to my evo3 12 base to elevate the unit enough to clear the throttle in my 2320 cockpit.

We mounted a Garmin 7612xsv outside the pilothouse that is networked with a 7610xsv at the helm. Used to show fish finder.
