Help with Yamaha interface cable to nmea 2k network, simrad trip fuel used

I was wondering if it was possible to figure out how much fuel I am burning per trip using the interface cable?

I don’t wanna sound stupid but to be honest I’m not sure, . I show fuel level in my fuel tank on my Yamaha digital gauges. And I show my fuel Burn rate when running, I was wondering if there was a way where I could start the trip through the instrument panel and then it would calculate gallons burned through my flow rate but that doesn’t seem to be true. I hope I’m making sense. Lol. Any other help is definitely appreciated

It depends on which Yamaha gauge you have. On my 6YC it has a "Trip" page which gives total fuel burned, hours, and some other stuff since it was last reset. I reset it every time I fuel up so I know how much fuel, in gallons, I have burned. It is amazingly accurate with my 179 gallon capacity.
