She ran through the chop very nicely. With full fuel, two on board, l and regular gear (no fishing gear other than a couple of light tackle poles and one tray of jigs) she ran 25-26mph at 3900-4000rpms. She ran a nice and steady 27-28mph at 4200rpms. With a couple of short bursts at WOT she jumped to over 38mph on the gps. I dont have fuel flow yet as the metter was off. I need to read the manual and I left that over at Judge last wed. I guess I was too excited to get her home. The Volvo QL tabs are nothing short of amazing. Boy do they react quickly. I love the controls with the sensors. I will do a more thorough review of the boat when I get more hours on her as I still learning her attitude and trim on the water. I love the boat.
Jury is still out on the trailer. I had no problems with it. The boat came off easily. It was a little tougher winching her up than a roller trailer (won't power load without another adult to hook the eye or run the boat) Howecver it was a very low tide on th haul out. This was at the near perfect ramp facility of Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis. Even with the slick bunks, some bottom paint was wiped off the bottom. I don't think the trailer is one I could use at my short community ramp unless the tide is up. I still would prefer a roller trailer and may move that way in the next year or so. I will say that the boat tows nicely behind my 1500 Chevy.
