how to check engine hrs on 250 hp yamaha salt water series

hi skips , can any one tell me if there is a meter on the engine 250 hp yamaha salt water series ox 66 that i can read the hrs ,or do i need a yamha tech to use his computer thanks

I'm pretty sure those engines have no way of pulling the hours off of them. I think just 4 strokes can be hooked up to a computer to read hours. Aside from the typical hour meter on the dash, you may be out of luck.

There is no way of hooking up a Yamaha Ox66 and getting engine hours. These engines were designed before this type of software was available.

That feature didn't arrive until the HPDI's debut.
