I clean it up every spring and by end of season, it looks like this again. Thoughts? Tricks?

I guess if I was in attack mode, I would pull it and inspect
May need new part thinking bolts are the cause

The problem is .....It's 304 stainless.......316 stainless will do a Lot better......But good luck finding that size in 316

Yep that's pretty normal. Just surface rust behind it. Try re-bedding it to seal but ultimately it will come back. Just something we all deal with.

If the problem is because it's lower grade stainless, you can probably find a replacement 316 stainless for a reasonable price. I just did a real quick check on Amazon (not paying attention to the measurements) and found this one for under $40 including shipping. Saw different ones for even cheaper but this would appeared heavy duty. I don't know but might work for you.
