I have been doing some research on hydraulic steering systems from the cable I got now it is a 115 suzuki what is everyone currently using and any issues? Thinking about the baystar or uflex package?

Any thoughts?

I just shifted to Uflex with the new motor install. So tired of Teleflex leaking after a couple of years. With hardly any use and stored out of the weather.

This is not the one you want, It's made for High Hp motors. It has a Bigger Ram and wiper seals than Teleflex.

But you can see what a neat looking piece it is.

Thanks I think I am going to go with the uflex from what I hear they don't leak as much. I don't want to switch over an make myself mor maintenance.

I just ordered the uflex hytech for up to 150hp motors.
Nice! I will say that unit Bobby showed sure looks SLICK! Even better, it's about time someone gave some competition to SeaStar.

In all fairness, now that SeaStar has formed its own company away from Teleflex (which abandoning all marine products to focus on medical devices) it may give the company the chance to improve. Like multitudes of previous examples in history, I bet the 'bean counters' ruined the company ... and hence the product line reliability. But I bet they improved their price point ;) !

Thanks. I have been less and less impressed with the telflex product line. I had some throttle shift cables by them and the originals lasted a long time then the second set I bought the upgraded cables and they only lasted a year and a half. I just replaced them again two months ago so I'll see how long they last this time.
