It didn't work

If I have to pay $45k for a bare bones 23 footer, I don't see a Parker in my future. I never realized how poor I was until yesterday. Waiting on a quote on a Maycraft 23' now which appears to be a similar boat. Well, to a newbie like me at any rate. The dealer was glad to get my email it seems and said they will put together a package this morning. Sounds good on the surface, but I don't know how much the boat will cost of course and that is a big factor. Time will tell, but man, I am surprised how much of a pain it is to buy a new boat. Seems it would be easier to give someone $40,000. Economy is in the tank, millions out of work, folks losing their homes, gas prices going up, and I can't give my hard earned money away. Either way, thanks for all the help here fellas. I appreciate your time and thoughts.

Dan,

Have you looked at Judge Yatchs, they make a very nice 22 and 24 footer that you can use inshore and offshore.

Dan,

Yes I know, but I would think that they can rig with whatever power you may want, those Judge boats are very close or same as parker (bullet proof).

Dan,

Talk to B-Faithful,he is on THT in Boat Sales commercial,he was a member here on Classic Parker,he can answer any questions you may have on judge.

I think a nicely rigged 22 with trailer goes for around 37K and its a very nice light tackle rig.

Been in contact with him. He is a class act. It is folks like he, and you here, that keep this search positive. There is alot of BS to wade through for a new guy like me. Got a good quote on a 2011 Maycraft 23' CC w/200 Yamaha and trailer today. Unlike the bare bones 23' SE quote for $45.5k, this boat had a bracket, T-top w/box, trim tabs, livewell, Carolina blue hull color, and still came in $3k less expensive. Dealer was even nice about it. Ha ha... Going to see the boat next week while home in NC. Time will tell.

Dan,

Yes I know,he is a nice guy,you will love the bracket as it gives you more room inside the boat, good luck, make sure to test ride.
