Installing Fisholds in deck of a 2320

I was thinking it would be nice to have an in-deck fish hold or gear storage as there seems to be room on either side of the fuel tank below the deck of my 2320. Wondering in anyone has completed a similar project? Anything helps.

I just found a small soft area on the aft deck of my 2120- if it proves to be a small contained area I'm considering cutting it out and adding an access hatch of some sort in lieu of glassing in wood. Thinking I could turn this rot into something positive! Fingers crossed...
