I saw this one today at the Morehead City Boat show. I was told these guys installed this at the Parker plant for a special order. Coastal Canvas did the canvas. Too bad it's not an option.

What is the purpose of that ? How do you reach the rods in that holder ??

Not for me, I'd only have one of those on my boat if the brand said "Bayliner" or "Angler". Not only is it too high, it's look totally stupid IMHO ...

Oh well, to each their own :) .

Being a little to high makes it look not as good as it should I think. I do think Parker should offer some type of well done shade extension other than the full 6' Bimini. I know I've got to have something for some shade in the deck area. The sun and heat here in the summer IMO almost makes it a necessity.

You're probably right ... being from New England our Summers aren't long nor hot enough to even consider such a contraption as a practical item. I guess it's all about perspective ... and location ;) .

     agreed

I wouldn't mind it if I had that deck space especially if enclosed like a cabin. Then during the winter u could put the sides on and have some deck chairs underneath with a mr heater in there keeping u warm as u toss a line out for stripers or sturgeon. Shoot even the tag line for the tuna poles would work Nicely off that. It doesn't look like they did a bad job with it either. It might work for what they do.

So true Dale. Everyone rigs their boats differently depending on where they live and their needs. For example, need for sun shade for a guy in FL vs someone in MA could be vastly different. The great thing about these Parker pilot house's is that they are good, well built boats that provide you the ability to customize them to suit your individual needs.

I bought a bimini top direct from Parker for the back of my 2320 and honestly am really happy with it. It cost about $1150.00 bucks, but made very well. Installed myself. It only goes on when the ladys go out, otherwise the boys want go out with it on, LOL. Hey I have learned on a 90+ degree day some shade other then hiding in the cabin is a good thing, even if it may not look great 8) .

My Bimini stays up all the time... 6-8 hrs a day 2-3 days a week fishing and another 2-3 days of 4-5hr round of golf.. I try to stand under the shade whenever I can...

Thomas I got black and yes I think it looks great. I think others think the open back is just the way to go. I can go ether way, but when its hot some shade is nice! Looks nice on your boat sir! 8)

This is step one for my new Bimini top. It's 4' long. Coastal Canvas is making a dodger for it that will connect via a track system on the back edge of the hard top and zipper onto the front edge of the Bimini. The Bimini frame is all stainless and it has solid struts instead of straps to the hard top and to the deck. I had them make the struts to the hard top begin about a foot in from the corners of the Bimini and then are angled at about 45 degrees into the hard top. This give it very good lateral stability and also keeps the struts in and away from the step up to the deck. All of the hard point mounts have push button stainless quick releases. You can take the whole thing completely off in literally 1 minute. When On, it's rock solid. I know these aren't great photos with detail. I'll take more later when the dodger is done.

I dint get it Angus until I looked at this with my lap top. The pitchers are all normal orientation when using a iPad or an iPhone. That what I used to post this. Lesson learned. :D
