Is a free GPSMAP 7212 worth it and what else would I need?

Hi, I have owned my 97 2310 for 23 years and right now a buddy and I are gutting the wiring and putting new panels in and upgrading the electronics.
I have an opportunity to get a free Garmin GPSMAP 7212 but not sure what I would need to go along with it, like a transducer and so forth.
I was planning on getting the Simrad NSX 9"along with NAC2 for auto pilot and the CHIRP transducer. I like new stuff but free is free.

My original Bennet tabs were tired and was able to sore a new lenco trim tab kit for $160 and just ordered the Lenco Auto Glide and would like to
hear any opinions on that set up too if you're familiar with it.

Thanks for the help!

You answered your own question.

auto pilot and the CHIRP transducer.

But you forgot Radar.

I put Simrad and Garmins in. Haven't put any other brand in. Of the 2 I prefer Garmin. It's just easier to navigate the menus.

I always seem to be running around in circles hunting a certain thing in Simrad.

X-Ducer recommendation is Airmar B175 M

The 7212 is a Touch screen ONLY. I Never recommend a Touch screen. In a bouncing boat you will Always Touch the Wrong spot.....Then you have to back out of that and start again..... It's easy at the dock.... Now try it underway in a chop. :(

This is the one I recommend.....See the knobs? Knobs are your friend.
