Planning to install the GS25 heading sensor in the cabin behind the helm for the 3g Radar. I've seen this done before, anyone see any issues with this?

Electronics and ferrous metals will wreak havoc on it. Put it where you have none of the above.

I ended up mounting it behind the helm seat in the corner. No electronics there seems to be working

I see that you found a good spot for the electronic compass inside the cabin...... good to hear!

Having experienced your same dilemma on several different boats, I've found that as long as you are 3ft away from magnets, metal (aluminum not included), LARGE electronics, speakers, amps and batteries ....... you'll be fine.

On my current boat, I have 2 electronic compasses installed just 2.5ft away from each other (one Raymarine, and 1 Furuno). Both work flawlessly.
