kicker for a 2520 sl

Has anyone mounted a kicker to this boat or a similar model where the OB is directly mounted to the transom? How do you mount it? Thinking about a 9.9hp yamaha- also, what size shaft would I need?

I guess what I am trying to find out, is can you mount it directly to the notched transom? or will I need another bracket? Or is it possible to mount it on the swim step port side?

Any response would be helpful.

I don't have one, but the kickers I've seen mounted, are on a bracket bolted to the transom, so yes... a kicker bracket is required.
Yamaha 9.9 'high thrust' is the kicker of choice for the 2520.
