Hey guys-
had my 2003 2120 in some snotty water week or so ago in the Chesapeake. Noticed some water soakage on the V-berth carpet. Determined it coming from the rub rail. Anyone else had this? Should I just simply try to seal it with some 4200 or something more?

separate Q- I also noticed a few soft spots in my cabin roof from poorly sealed spot light & horn installations from previous owner. Nothing SUPER soft but I can notice a little softness when step near... Reseal w/ 4200 and move on or something more serious?

Thanks for any input!

Seal top and bottom with LifeSeal by BoatLife, or any good marine goops less 3M 5200 ... which is overkill for that application ...

Unforutnately 'softness' won't dure itself and will only spread and spread. So besides sealing the area, I'd remove the top layer of glass and would cut out all wet wood first. Most boat stores have the free pamphet by West Systems, but I myself use www.raka.com epoxy for my repairs. I'd keep the repaired area rough and below the top layer and would top off with F27 and then gelcoat over that, if gelcoat is needed. Seal well ... you only get one chance ;) ...
