At the beginning of the season I installed new LED trailer lights to replace my old broken standard bulb type. Last night while trailering the boat I noticed that most of the smalll LED bulbs were out on just one side. I spent the extra money on the LED lights thinking they were bullet proof. Are they not? Are the bulbs replaceable or do I have to replace the entire light?

Most of the LED assemblies that I have seen have the bulbs 'potted' in epoxy, therefore the bulbs would not be replaceable.
Before you give up on the light though, double-check your ground. Corrosion on your ground lead might be causing the problem you are seeing.

I had the same problem twice on my EZ-Load (of Crap) er trailer with the LED lights they were using. Replacement is the answer. They are now using a different model and seem to be holding up. The ones I had originally were the rectangular ones sold at Boaters World. Recently I noticed Boaters World quit carring them as well. Can't find the model #?

While you are at it, you might as well add a dedicated ground wire if you are currently set up with the trailer frame as the ground connection. I did and it saved me from the ongoing corrosion headaches.
