Livewell cover hinges for 21 CC

Hi Guys,
Seems the wire hinges on the livewell cover keep breaking? Has anyone come up with a better solution? The first time they broke, the guys where I purchased my Parker ordered a new set for me. I don't think they will continue doing that! Will Parker sell a set to me directly?

Hey, thanx for the reply.
It's those 2 straps that keep breaking! They're coated wire but after opening and closing a number of times, they break at the point where the screw secures the strap to the lid. Not a great design.
I'll be seeing the guys from my local Parker dealer next week. They kind of sponser a fishing club (some might call it a beer drinking club!). Either way works for me! I'll ask them if they can oder the straps for me. I really hate to bother them for such a small item.

you can just crimp some 250 mono in its place

I did the same thing with crimped mono a couple of seasons ago.. so far so good.

That sounds like a reasonable alternative!
I'll get some heavy weight mono and crimps.

This sounds like a nice solution! Did you use a grommet to create a connection to the lid screws?

Thanx for the pix! The straps look fine and that will do the trick!
Seems like a simple solution.

Speaking of tricks....seems like your livewell must be from the "circus" if you were trying to get all that bunker into it!
