I got a 2020, 2520 XLD with the basis two SS hinges on the rear livewell lid. They work OK but I would like to replace them with friction hinges. Any suggestions.

Without pictures, tough to tell. BoatOutfitters has a good selection of high quality friction hinges, some of them might work for you. Gemlux also has some options.

Call Gemlux, talk to ANY of their knowledgeable staff. Gemlux makes the rod holders and some of the hinge hardware on our Parkers. Just measure the hinge footprint, call Gerry or anyone at Gem, tell them the footprint, they'll mail you the friction hinge.

Thanks for the information. According to Parker the whole livewell unit is produced by Finaddictmarine. Per Brown Towles at Finaddictmarine they use a Gem hinge #119606 in their production. Unfortunately the people at Gem do not have anything close to a 119606 in a friction hinge. Looks like its back to the drawing board.
