I've been trolling Craigslist for past few months and the Parker inventory is limited. Hoping to find a classic 17'-21' CC Parker in the $3-$5k range. If you have one you are willing to part with or know how I can find one, please reply to this post.

3 to 5,000$ range??? Nada...nil...........maybe a serious project boat without engine or trailer.............

Ok then. Saw 1 on c/l for $3,500, no motor or trailer to your point, but sounds like that will be the rare exception. Good to know.

In NC this boat doesn't exist, or if it does it is for a matter of hrs. I did see an 18' for $4400 a few months back, I called and before I could get home from work that afternoon it was sold. There is such a demand for Parker's under $10,000 that most sell pretty quickly, especially if they look nice. Your best option may be to look for a neglected hull or one with a bad floor someone needs to unload. If the price is right you can generally rehab for a few $1000 dollars.

If that is the boat in Massappie ( Cape Cod) Ma
I went to see it in Feb.
Its transom is cracked
Engine is not running
The boat is sitting on rolled up cloth instead of rollers on trailer
That is not road worthy
But hey its still a project boat

Here is one

Anyone have any experience with a 17ft Parker like the one seen in the Craigslist Ad shown above?

I too am in the market for a Parker (18ft) but am looking to spend in the $10k to $11k range. I went over and saw a family friends 02' 18ft Parker. The boat is beautiful. First time being on one, and kind of got bit by the Parker bug...
I'm in the SE CT area as well just as an fyi

i bought an 18 over the summer..love this little boat...ive had everything from a 16 hewes bonefisher 2 other flats boats ...21 stratos bass rig -- 4 makos... 2- 20's a 23 and a 240 cuddy .... and this boat is the best built boat ive ever seen ... its a 91 and its pristine .... best small boat ive ever owned ...good luck with your search...

Dude..your 2- timing..youre on classic mako also ..LOL ... have had both.... dont get me wrong i grew up in florida and have been around mako's all my life.. my father still has my 231..and he has a mako backcountry..but ..if given a choice i would choose a parker...just more attention to detail when they were made in my opinion...

Got me. LOL. Takes one to know one, I guess. Anyway, both come highly recommended and I'm trying to get the lay of the land in terms of what the future might hold. I appreciate all the guidance true enthusiasts give in these forums.

Check our "For Sale" section often as 18's show up in the spring by folks looking to move up.
There are several 18's right here on the first page, but don't stop there. Sometimes a gem can be a few pages back.

Your local dealers web site is also a good place to look, though many dealers are a little slow to update their used boat section.
Parker 18's are a hot item so many times they are sold before they even make it to the web site.
In that case, call around and let the dealers know what you are looking for, and how much you want to spend.
You might be able to find a trade-in that hasn't even shown up on the dealers lot yet.

Craigslist is generally a good place to look if you are in search of a CM type project, but every now and then you can find a nugget.

Good luck in your search!
