Hi,
I am looking at a 23SE and a 23DV and wonder what is the best for the money. will be doing bay fishing, some runs offshore to maybe 20 miles out. What is too much to pay?

23SE w/ F200 Yamaha

23DV w/ F250CXA Yamaha

R U looking used or new/leftover? 23 se wtih 200 should run around 45k, DV w/225 around 48/49k. DV much better in chop, SE good for shallow water, more fuel efficient, and more stable at drift. DV has 1" higher gunnel.

I went out and got the 2012 Parker 23 SE with a 200 Yamaha. The boat is much larger than the 2004 21SE I had before. The console is enormous and will shortly be filled with electronics. I am having a T-top build for it at Aqua-shades in Sarasota, FL. They do the best work around here and said he would have it ready for my electronics guy by this weekend. 7 day turn around on a T-top is great compared to the 5 week wait from the guy i used in my 21SE. I am thinking about going with a Garmin 741S as my sounder/GPS and installing a Garmin 100 VHF along side it. Here are some pictures of the boat.

and installing a Garmin 100 VHF along side it.

I wouldn't do that.

Your gonna end up cutting holes all over the dash, so when you decide you want a bigger screen it will not be as easy.

Put a Ebox on the T-top. Install the AM/FM/CD and the VHF in the E-box. This puts the VHF speaker by your ear and keeps the squiggy cord out of the way.
