Whats the thought on a 1988 2520 with bracket? I never seen many parker forsale at that age so could someone explain to me the differences in 1988 to lets say 99 or 01? Are the hull/cabin dimensions same?
The early 2520's had a 14 degree deadrise and the later XL series boats have a 16 degree deadrise.
If you park a 14 degree hull next to a 16 degree hull in the water the older hull will appear to sit lower.
The dimensions of the hull are a little different and the cabins are very close as well, but side-by-side the older hull will have a lower freeboard and the cabin top on the older hull will be lower than the XL, though the amount of room inside both will be the same between the two.
Hopefully these photos will help you understand they are the same, just a little different.
In the photos, (my boat is on the left, the XL on the right), you can see the difference in the height of the cabin roof, the washboards, and the way she sits in the water.
Hull dimensions are the same, but that extra 2 degrees of deadrise makes the XL 'sit higher' in the water than the earlier hull.
Personally... I like the older hull better. 8)
