I have a 2001 2110 with a 150 hpdi. I have a crack in my skeg. I am going remove the lower unit myself to take it to the repair shop. Is there anything I should really pay attention to when removing the lower unit. I haven't had to do this before. If there is information from a service manual floating around it would be appreciated.

Look up the post that I had placed last week that had a link to an on-line tutorial by Andy from Shipyard Island Marine (SIM) on a waterpump service to a Yummy motor. That had the details in that will help you out, just be aware NOT to turn the shift rod from its present position ... as that was set at a specific shift height.

I repaired a chipped skeg with one of these a couple years ago. Under 100 bucks and 20 min install. Looks and works great.
