Any Maine fishermen having a great start to the 2010 season? Plenty of bait fish (herring & mackeral) around. The Saco River and Bay seem to be full of stripers and some rumors of blues also.
The tuna should be moving north up from stellwagon shortly!!!!

Started out fast, slowed a little. fishing Saco to Portland. Had a few runs of small blues on live mackerel, no hookups yet. Caught quite a few Stripers so far, nothing ovet 40 yet.

Hello High Voltage,
I fish from Portland to Boothbay Hbr area. Lots of stripers up this way, nothing landed over 40" my way yet either. I am shooting for some tuna this year. Good luck to ya.
P.S. How has your Parker been treating you? Which model do you have?

Tuna showed up early in Mass because all the bait. Might want to to try for a BFT up your way, worth a shot?

Hello POGE,
I have been out several times, trolling some different color bars. But due to my job I have been away from home since the begining of June. (Merchant Marine). I am due home the middle of July and I sure will be ready to fish some more. I will be able to use some live bait then.
I heard Stellwagen was off to a great start this year! Big fish early, I can't wait to get home to Maine and out of this Gulf of Mexico heat.
Do you tuna fish?
