Garmin Stuff. A 4212 on a Ram Mount networked with a 545S. An Airmar in-hull transducer. I have XM WX and XM Radio. It all worked well as I got it online. I've yet to test it out on the wild blue, but I'll let you all know how it does. I emailed Garmin about two update CDs that were included in my package. I presume I should just load them, but didn't want to fubar anything. Maybe they'll answer soon. I've always had good dealings with Garmin over the years...We'll see. I just want to go FISHING! :twisted: :twisted:

does the MFD on the gimbal mount affect your vision at all? is seems like it might get in the way. if not, thats one he!! of an electronics package. coming from a Furuno guy like me, thats sayin something 8)

It's sort of an optical illusion due to the angle I took the photo. I was in a rush at the time. It's very, very adjustable, and I can move it and turn it just about any way I want. I wanted it on a Ram mount for several reasons.... I wanted the unit to run cool.... I wanted to be able to adjust it for sunlight, etc.... I want to be able to turn my seat sideways and be able to see things going on on deck when trolling, watching guests, etc., and be able to hit my waypoints. If I don't hit my marks, the Admiral will get on my a$$.

That boat needs some dried bunker chum stuck to the side and some fossilized bluefish blood in the nooks and crannies =)
