FWIW, that metal place near me sells cut-offs, odd pieces, and other metal items (brass, copper, aluminum, SS, etc.) through the mail, plus has 2 locations in NY.

My last 'bargain buy' there were 8' lengths of green anodized 1" ID heavy wall aluminum tubing that we made into harpoon poles ... only $8 each
