Thanks for the input Pelagic. You confirmed my gut feeling. Abusing a overladen engine leads to poor economy and performance. Unless you are willing to be satisfied with just maitaining a plane. The price seems right to consider this sacrifice. I would hesitate if it were a 250hp.

I am very curious to see if parker will start rolling out 25' DVs with the new 300hp V6. Should do at least as well as twin F150s considering the weight savings.
Not sure how they're priced yet but that should drop 8-10K off a new twin F150 set up if the pricing is similar to the current 4-stroke V6s. I like the bigger hull but I don't think I want twins in my life

The 350 is over 100lbs under twin 150's, it sounds like a good option on the 25dv. I would guess the new 300 will be about the same price as the v8 300 which is only 2k less than the 350, with the 350 costing about the same as twin 150's. Anyone run a 25dv with the 350?

Carborita it is my understanding that in 2004 they didnt have the yammy 250 yet. i also heard that the 225 isnt a true 225... i hear it puts out about 210hp.. i do not have paper work to back this up, however i did go for a ride on a 2520sl and it did seem to dog a lil bit.. and the engine had just been rebuilt in 09... So i took that as an engine that was over worked for that to happen with under 500 hours.. hope this helps u out... think we r in the same boat trying to find our perfect parker. lol
