I plan to keep the boat in another month or so and there is a good possibility that it will drop below freezing for extened periods. I have an 2320 with a outboard yamaha 200 on it. Does it matter which way to store the motor(up or down in the saltwater) in the slip during freezing periods?

one vote for down (under the stated conditions)

How about in general conditions....up or down?

Down in freezing, up in normal conditions why subject motor to growth and electrolouses(sp).

DOWN so the power head, exhaust, and lower unit can DRAIN freely, so trapped water doesn't freeze and SPLIT open a housing!
