I am looking to buy my first boat and really want a Parker. I dont know if these are issues or not. Are Parkers glass over wood or all glass? This boat is only 9yrs old and looks its age. Ive seen older boats that look new so im not sure about this one. Also I thought ive read on here that people with this boat and motor ( Yamaha F115 4stroke) do about 40mph. This boat on a flat lake did 27mph at 5,000rpm. We had 4 guys on the boat. Heres the pics of the transom issues. Thanks guys

When he got this boat in 01 he installed a rubber rod holder and the screw went through the hull in the bow. He just ground down the screw and left it.

I couldnt see what this was from inside the bilge. This is on the outside of the transom near the right scupper. I dont know what this is but its about 3" in diameter. After sea trial it looked like water was seeping out.

Then It had all these cracks along the deck to the transom.

They installed this swim step a few years ago and a couple of the bolts had come loose in the transom.

Run Forrest ... run ... First off, Parkers are glass layup boats by hand, using wood as a core. There is nothing wrong with wood as a coring material LESS how it was taken care of.

That boat was NOT well taken care of, nor maintained. And it reeks of poor installation techniques. I'd guess she rides slow due to wrong prop and WET hull in the core. My bet is she was "Ridden extremely hard and put away wet ..." to use an oft-quoted cowboy/horse analogy. I'd also guess she was towing a lot of tubes or kids on water toys or something to cause that stress. Who knows, she might even be a previously sunken boat! Something bad, even if just years of abuse and wave jumping et al, caused those tremendous stress AND structural cracks. WORST I have ever seen on a Parker boat by far  !

No boat brand - Parker, Grady White, Cabo, Fountain, or Stamas or insert-your-favorite-boat-brand-name-here ... could survive the service that poor girl has been subject to :( .

I do not mean to cast dispersions on the current owner, but if I were your friend ... I'd tell you to run away and go find another boat!

Okay im running... spent alot of time talking to the guy who said it was in great condition. As soon as I saw it I knew it had been ridden hard and put away wet. After I saw the cracks I knew something was wrong. Thanks for the great advice.

I have a 2004 1801 with some hair line cracks in the gel coat in the transon and a few locations on the deck, but nothing like that. That boat looks like it has been abused.

There's to many nicer, cleaner, more solid 1801 parker's out there. For you to settle on the pictured boat would'nt be wise..I agree completely with the rest of the above posts.. "Keep on Looking"
