I have a 2003 Parker Center Console 23SE. Great boat. The fishfinder is 10 years old, and I have recently purchased and Laurent GPS/Side Scan Sonar Unit. Problem is I need to run a new transducer cable. I married the old cables and new cables and reached my hands in the stern and cabin to try and make sure there weren't any zip ties, etc. However, with all my efforts, I cannot get the cables to budge one single bit. I'm assuming they are maybe clamped or something inside the hull. Does anyone have any experience running these cables in my type of boat or any suggestions? How does parker build their cable tubes, i.e. do you a think a snake would go through? If they moved a little I would have some hope, but they aren't moving a hair, so I think I need to take a different approach here.

Many thanks,
Shane

I have heard of evrything from electrician's snakes to people putting a cotton ball to light mono and putting a shop vacuum to the other side and sucking it out. I'd try a snake, lune it w/ dishwashing solution.

I recently had to route a new GPS antenna wire through the radar arch tubes. I bought a wire pulling lubricant from Home Depot and it worked perfectly.

Thanks. Am going to get a snake, and some dish soap and see how it goes. Will repost
