I just purchased a 1994 23' sport cabin and want to install an anchor winch.
there is no pulpit, just standard bow right now.
I will use it in bay and ocean depths up to 150' w/ strong currents.
anyone ?

Hands down....The one to have is the LEWMAR PROFISH SERIES The 700FF

And don't forget the new Remote control. They are Super nice.

forgive me for being a lil stupid on the subject but, how does this type work. can u do it all from the helm or do u need someone on bow to manage dropping and pulling anchor? thanks

I use Parachute cord and tie it off every time. I have to go forward and untie it.

Some may choose not to do that......But Better safe than sorry. Wouldn't want a failure at 30MPH and the anchor launches into the prop.

Some Pulpits are self launch ...some are not. Most of the Parker style's are not and need a little nudge.

By the way Parachute cord can be tied, get wet , dry and the knots still come out of it easy.

:D I have a 2320 p/h with a Lewmar 700(not pro fish) I use 30' chain 230' 8plait rope and Fortress FX11 anchor I have the factory Parker pulpit no problem launching anchor. I have my switch on the dash in the p/h
