How often do these 2830's show up on the used market? This would suit my application perfectly.

I would of killed for a 2830 but the only"ONE" for sale was in FLA and it was too much for me !!!!

I spent 6 months test driving 2520/2530 and setteled on a 2820!!!

I wanted to be able to fish with 5 - 6 guys and not be on top of each other

I wanted to add a live well with a seat and not crowd the deck

I wanted to be able to take 12 people on a harbor cruise

I can do all on a 28'parker

The 2520 is amazing
but the cabin is like mine a little too small for 4 people going off shore...

The 2530 amazing but forget fishing 6 people on that if you have a live well

The 2820 was a compromise 4 me but thats all i could afford

The 2830 TAH DAH!!! would be the BOMB!!!

BIG cockpit big cabin

GAS milage from the 2530 to a 2820

563 lb difference , same beam !!! not ,much of a difference in fuel consumption unless u r running like a maniac or in rough seas

shorter range on 2530/20

so that is my 2 cents!!!!

You will be a happy go lucky guy either way....

From what I've seen... rarely.
If they sell, it is generally by word of mouth.

Kidding

and yes my 2820 rides "alittle harder than a 2520...
not much

but as fay as taking it out by your self.............

I all about safety and fishing in poor conditions by yourself is kind of silly ....

but i take my 2820 out by myself its easy when you have a second station , i back in to slip all by my lonesome..."ON A CALM DAY" !!!
so i do pick my days for solo's !!!

Yes there are some deep wide beamy boats out there that ride smoother but not cheaper !!!! and its just my opinion but "MORE is better when fishing the big water/open ocean !!!

From what I have heard a "2830" design boat may not be that far away after all...
