Not sure if I'm in the right place, but have a question. I have some soft spots in the floor of my 1991 25' center console Parker. Am considering putting simulated teak and holly flooring over the existing floor. Could I do this without going in and fixing the soft spots? My concern is I understand the stringers are wood and perhaps they are weakened and will continue with additional rotting. If I put the new flooring in which isn't cheap, I'll stop the floor leakage on the surface. However, my concern is if the condensation in the bilge will further weaken the stringers and ultimately cause me to have to replace them as well as the new floor I'm considering.
Any input would be appreciated.
