hello fellow CPers,

It is time for me to replace my fuel sending unit as I get ready to head home from school for the holidays and lobster season here on the west coast. After talking to Eric at Parker and finding that the 95 gallon tank on my 1994 21SE is 13 inches deep, my question for you is, do I take 1/2 an inch or 1 off the tank depth when ordering a new unit. Also, is WEMA the best route to go with a new sending unit?

Thank you,
Tom

I checked the WEMA link today and web site has been updated

thumbs up!

Q: How do I determine the length of the sender I need?

For Fuel/Water senders, the length should be 1" less than the depth of the tank if tank is plastic, and 0.5" less than the depth of the tank if tank is metal. This is to account for possible tank flex.
For Grey/Black water holding tanks, the length should be 75% of the depth of the tank.

TeeKee, just did this per the CP manual :p took very little time.

here is CBigma's original post

Wema was great got it in 2 days with cork gasket and $20 less than most. I coated the whole top of uint and screws with CRC heavy corrosion inhibitor, just as when I bought it.
