You'll want to get in to Ake Marine and Sunset Provisions in west oc as well.

Once you get into AllTackle, the other shops will feel left out and will come to you eventually. That should be a good thing.
The OC location caters more to the offshore guys that the Annapolis location, but the online business is where (I believe) their volume comes from.

You probably talked to the guy who got screwed out of the location Alltackle is occupying when you were at Ake. He is a character but also a good guy who ran a good shop there before it was dozed to be the gas station.

My favorite local place is Oyster Bay Tackle but it is not geared towards heavier tackle like yours. Ake tends to be offshore stuff and I really don't care for the Alltackle though the fellow working there is very helpful when you ask. Sunset Provisions and it's sister store at the old Shanty Town location don't need to follow anybody's lead that is for sure. The stores are there to cater to docking clients who have no problem buying premium tackle.
