I repowered my 1999 1801 with a 2003 Suzuki DF 140,the previous motor was a 2 stroke Yammaha 115. There is about 1/2 a tank(30 gallons) of gas/oil mixture. Would it be ok to top off the tank with straight gas and run it through the 4 stroke suzuki or would it screw up the injectors, etc?? I would hate to have to pump out whats left in the tank.
thanks

If the existing gas is mixed 50:1, then your current 30 gallons of gas has 77 ounces which is a little more than one half of gallon of oil (0.6 gallons). Adding 30 gallons of new gas changing the ratio to 1:100 ( 77 ounces oil in 60 gallons of gas). This seems very dilute to me

I'd call your Suzi dealer or Suzi themselves for that answer ... you don't want to fool with a new motor, as that would be, well ... foolish ...

Yeah, what Dale said.

Running oil in your gas is a good way to foul out a sensor in that brand new engine.

I have pumped that much out before by hand just by squeezing the bulb. I use 5 gal cans and then poured it into at least a 1/2 full gas tank in car/truck and they ran fine.
I took the fueld line apart at the bulb and then attached a section of spar line and ran the hose out the bildge drain hole( on trailer). I would start out the new motor with the correct fuel as the warranty might get voided.

Sorry my bad,its a "new" motor to me, but its a used 2003 DF140,and I plan on calling Suzuki

thanks for the advice.
