This is my first legitimate post. Hope I'm not asking for too much here.
I'm the new owner of a '99 2110. It has very little use and is close to immaculate. Close. It has 2 spots just above the rub rail that are damaged. Could be that the anchor was accidently banged against it. In any event, these two spots are smaller than a quarter.
My first question is what materials do I need to repair them. Rather than just fill them with something waterproof, I'd like to learn how to repair them to like new.
My 2nd and 3rd questions are related... I'm replacing the fishfinder and transducer with a FF/plotter combo. I need to know what materials I need to fill and repair the holes from the original FF bracket. Same as the answer to my first question?
#3 - I would prefer to just fill the existing transducer bracket holes, attach a backer board and attach the new transducer to it rather than drill more holes into the transom. What materials are best for this part of the project.
Sorry for piling on. I appreciate any advice.
