I recently purchased a 2006 Parker 2320. It came with a Armstrong 3 step swim ladder and a swim ladder bracket mounted to the starboard side of the swim platform.

I used the swim ladder for the first time last weekend and it fit in the bracket fine. However, there is no way to secure the ladder in the bracket so the ladder floats completely out of the bracket unless it is held down.

Is there some mechanism to secure the ladder in the bracket that I am missing?

Thanks

There should be a plastic collar to keep it in.

Another forum member improvised a tie strap and piece of fuel hose which actally works better.

Try a search using my name.

**EDIT**

Here is the post.

Thanks for your very helpful replies. I now understand the problem and can fabricate a fix.

i have a 23 wa. mounted clips to top of bracket, like sort of under hose with control cables etc.. can access from water if need be, can reach from transome also, been there for 3 yrs. never fallen off yet.also have cube cooler mounted on other side 4 small stainless u brackets with 4 short rubber tie downs to handles, spare ice etc. never moved either. just my 2cts tinmantoo bel air md

Somehow my armstrong swim ladder managed to pop out of the clips mounted to my transom a couple trips ago..... not sure how but, I know it was there when i launched the boat and it was gone by the end of the day.

Anyone know a good place to get a replacement? Will other manufactures swim ladders fit in the clips that were mounted for the armstrong ladder?
