After days of spring cleaning and maitenance and modifications.... I had a weather window to go for a ride this morning.
I knew the small craft warnings were posted but I also knew it wouldn't be that bad. I left Willis Wharf and ran to the Machipongo Inlet. The inlet had some 3 foot chop mixed in with some 4 foot swells and beyond was a mess so I stayed inside.
From the looks of things there were plenty of fish. The gannets were swarming on fast moving schools of bait and there were dolphin feeding on something. Everything was very much alive.
No rods on the boat.. just camera gear. All went well with the boat.
The next 3 days will be windy and wet and windy. Maybe by Wednesday I can get out and find something.
Here are some of the pics from today.
