Well, like the subject suggests, I am not sure where this post belongs; Introduce Yourself, All Parker Boats, Projects, or Fishing. I upgraded from a 1972 20' Seacraft in 2007 to a 23 DVCC. I could not be happier with the upgrade, however I do wish I still had the Seacraft in addition to the current vessel. I have been looking at this website for over a year now and just recently became a member in hopes of sharing good stories and maybe even providing some advice to other fellow DVCC members. I'm going to attempt to upload three pictures-1st, my "Introduce Yourself" picture, 2nd, my "Projects" which shows a significant project/addition to the boat added a week and a half ago, and 3rd, a picture from a fishing trip I made solo last week. I hope eveyone enjoys. The last picture is ultimately what made me join this website as I thought a lot of you could appreciate the picture/experience.

Welcome Aboard! Nice boat, T-Top upgrade and Blue Fine Tuna. You resemble "Jethro" from The Beverly Hillbillies. You must be as strong as him also to get that big tuna on board by yourself. I dont know if I just dated myself or not. I still watch re-runs, that guy was amazingly strong on the show. (Strictly the highest Complement)

Happy Boating!

Sweet top and tuna!! Wish we had those big boys down here.

I still have my Seacraft 20 SF, she is due for a redo though.

Welcome aboard!!!

NICE Fish, 68" !!!! Nice Boat How are the arms after that BFT solo?.Looks like you are in Mass. from reg. and the Cape from the scenery. You might want to add location to profile. The bite should pick back up in Sept. rock and roll!

Welcome to the site!

I'd like to hear more details on the end of the fight.. how'd you go from color to death spirals to tuna on board?

Thanks,

-- Tom

It was pretty hairy once I got into the death spirals. I ended up having to more or less handline the last 8' of leader and then use my free hand to gaff. Once I had a good gaff, I was able to get the fish onto the back platform/bracket. Once there, I added a tail rope and collapsed in exhaustion. There were a couple of death spirals that came way to close the skeg and bracket!
