Orion 25mm aerial shells

Even in this town, it is almost impossible to find the Orion 25mm aerial shells on the boating store shelves.
The reason is probably because the 12ga shells are less expensive, but even after Googling for the 25mm shells, I've drawn a blank.
No one seems to sell them without the launcher, which I already have.

Does anyone have a source for these aerial shells?

I believe they would be, but I don't see a way to order them from that page.

I still use the 12g gun and shells but I just had to update most all my pyro stuff. Parachute flares, smoke, handhelds, etc,. Very expensive. Have a bag full of "expired" ones.

Sure would like to figure out how to get permission to light up a few, just for practice....

In many areas, the local CG Station or Auxiliary will have a 'test night' for people to come in and fire off old pyro, or to make them familiar with how this stuff works.
Give your local folks a call and ask if they sponsor such an event, and when the next one might be.
In my area, the local captains association sponsors the event with the cooperation of the local CG Station.

As for your 'expired' pyrotechnics... It is most likely still good.
You just can't mix it with your good stuff as it will cause you to fail an inspection.

Something I discovered from my local CG inspector is that you can continue to carry your older pyro...

Place all of your current pyrotechnics in a zip-lock freezer bag labeled "Current", and your expired in another zip-lock labeled "Expired".
You can then carry both current and expired items together legally and you will not fail an inspection (at least in my area you won't).

The first time my inspector saw my emergency bag laid out that way, she was impressed and said I was GTG! 8)
