I'm new to the Classic Parker site, currently boatless.

I'm looking at 10-15 yo Parker 21 SE and DVCC models, primarily for striper fishing the ches. bay but also for bottom fishing the Pamlico Sound (shallow).

Is the 21 SE going to beat me up in a tight 2 ft bay chop?

It would be great to do a ride-along on someone's 21 SE, I'm in central VA.

Thanks everyone.

I have ridden on both and had a 23 SE and am currently rebuilding a 21 SE. Obviously the DVCC is a much softer ride but it requires more HP thus more $$ to operate. The 21SE with trim tabs will soften the ride significantly but bare in mind the hulls were designed for different applications. The NCDMF and NC Wildlife uses the DVCC. If you are going to ever be in shallow water near the beach or maybe even on shoals in Pamlico Sound fishing for drum the SE is the boat. I have been to the stream on the 21SE and it did fine and fishing Ches. for stripers it would be great. The reason I am sticking with the SE is because we fish a lot of shallow water like the idea that the boat will float in 12".
