I had the bracker that hold the captains chais snap off as I was running and almost bit it. The dealer replaced it and now the pole that connects the deck to the bracket is moving back and forth a little . Is this normal?

I'm really pissed...getting water under my motor hood, leaking windows, messed up captains chair...what next?

i'll try to give you the best advice i can.

when ever you make a decision to buy something, generally you select an item with a proven design and track record. Parker boats and their components have remained relatively unchanged over the years, so i feel you have made a good decision in this respect.

knowing that you have a proven/solid boat design-wise, you have to consider that the problems you are having are likely specific to your boat.........but why is that?

it has been my experience that when something is perceived to be wrong ie. a leak, loose component, and so on, if you look close enough you can probably figure out why there is a leak or loose component. meaning manufacturers for the most part don't make leaky and loose products on purpose.

what all this means is that you need to closely inspect the attaching hardware, the gaskets and such and either have the dealer or yourself adjust the things that may need to be tweaked a little.

then put a few hundred hours on the hull and you will again be inspecting, tightening, and tweaking things again.........it is all part of boat ownership.
so if you have a pile money, hire someone to do it, or i am sure you can figure it out. if you do take it to the dealer under warranty........ask a lot of questions/pay attention and shorten the learning curve.

IMO it takes about a year to get a boat just right. except for my Apple computer, i've never found anything that works perfectly "out of the box."

good luck
