I'm considering a 23 foot parker pilothouse, most of my fishing is near the cbbt and out maybe 20 miles.I've fished from a walkaround for some time and wonder how rough a ride the parker cabin boats really have. This boat has the 21 degree deadrise but the helm way up front must get bumpy. The huge fishing area really makes the parker attractive but I'd hate to make a mistake and wind up with a ride i can't tolerate. The only time i was on one it was flat so i really don't know much about the ride in the short chop we get most of the time .If anyone uses one down there i would welcome your thoughts.

A lot has to do with the man on throttle. If he knows how to properly trim boat and cruise at an adequate speed you will enjoy the comfort of a stable dry ride out of the cold wind.

My previous vessel was a Proline 231 walk around and I feel my 2320 rides better than the Proline did. Like John mentioned your throttle hand as well as trim and tab usage can greatly affect your ride. When it does get sloppy you stay dry and warm in the pilothouse. No more water shots thru the canvas.
