Was that $30 or $80 for an overnight mooring in Alaska?
Get this ... I once was going to do an overnight in Kennebunkport, Maine ... you know, a 'hoi pa'loi' (sp?) haba (harbor for you Southerners ) on the southern coast of Maine, right around the corner somewhat from Geo Bush-the-1st Summah (Summer) compound. To tie up NEXT to a friend's boat who had rented slip space with services, and yet I'd get NO water or electrical hook-up services ... they wanted $160 per night  !
I could rent a hotel room or room in a B&B for that price or less (though they insist on minimum 2 to 3 night stays up thar-a-'bouts)! When the lady at the desk told me the price ... I was STUNNED, so I asked "Why do you charge such a high price for my boat to tie-along someone else's ... and yet receive no services?"
She simply replied ... " ... becuz we can ..." Needless to say I went elsewhere with my $$ .
