A few months ago I found a Parker Bench seat on Craigslist. Got it very cheap and it's in perfect condition. I guess you can call it a "needle in a haystack". Only a two hour ride from my house too !

Anyway, I had the forward facing passenger seat on my 2520DV and always thought it used space very poorly.

Today I pulled it out and dropped in the bench seat. My long term plans are to build a higher and larger base for the seat. The OEM seat sits kind of low and passengers can't see the water. Should be able to knock it off this winter.

Anyway, at the suggestion of a friend, I also took out the pedestal seat on the drivers side. The forward facing seat fit in perfectly !! It also looks great. I'm going to add a couple tackle lockers to it for added tackle storage space. (the existing door disappears on the starboard side) It was too dark to take pics of it but I'll get them tomorrow.

Parkers are just so customizable !! I'm in love with my boat again. :D

Bryan: The Sunday Toggin' was horrible. We got there with too strong a tide and left before it adequately slacked. It seems the bite was off everywhere anyway, not just where we fished.

I hope to do some Toggin tomorrow.

Yeah, we had the same problem. We did great in the same exact spot on Sat but Sunday was off, that is fishin'.

I THINK YOU PLAN OF THIS WILL BE A NICE TURNOUT FOR SURE CANT WAIT TO SEE THE JOB ALL DONE AND COMPLETE!!!

Here are some update pics. I moved the port seat to the drivers seat. Looking really good. I'll be putting an SSI Tackle Storage system on the side of the driver seat to keep my tackle organized. It will cut right in.

That is the exact same thing I'd like to do on my boat, but on both the port and starboard sides.
I would add tackle centers on both bases for full size Plano boxes to give me maximum tackle storage.
Isn't it great how you can build seating with tackle storage on a drop-curtain model?

Trouble is, you just don't see those seat bases for sale.
I wonder if the factory would sell me a pair? :)

Megabyte: No doubt the pedestal seat is a huge waste of space. You really can't put anything under it, and behind it is always a PITA.

I'm digging this new set up. I bought a used SSI Storage locker off a guy on Ebay. It holds two of the 3" high Plano boxes and 2 of the 2" boxes.

I'll post up pics when she's done.

My winter project remains something like this:

My bench seat is on the way out soon, making way for a new project. I'm not sure if that's what you want, but I'll post it up when I'm ready.

Love the bench idea. I would like to do the same thing but having a devil of a time trying to locate one. I too have this 'L' shape storage/seat on the passenger (port) side and would like to replace it with the bench. Any knowledge would be helpful.

Thanks!
