passenger seat 2530

Has anyone modded their passenger seat for the 2530? Just a quick ride on the new boat and the wife seemed to be a little uncomfortable in her new accomodations. Please post pics and other ideas!!!

I have been thinking of mounting a small Todd seat on top of the forward dinette seat but I need to figure out a removable mount so the bunk is still usable.

One of those projects that keeps getting moved down the list.

Is this something like you are looking for? Seat and part of mount pulls out and cover of mount lays flat so you can still convert to bunk or bench seat.

i did the EXACT same thing as Virgie II, works out great. i think its a Todd mount. only thing i did differently was put a starboard plate up there for a little more support, but the cushion still fits on there. personally, however, ive never taken that seat out since. its a great addition.

I sleep there quite a bit so I need the dinette/berth.

the one i used, at least, has a flush mounting plate and a "cup" that fits ont the end of the seat post and screws down into a depression in the base. its actually used for tables. heres the link to the exact item.

Sorry I couldn't reply sooner, but been out fishing all day. The one that Pelagic 2530 posted is the one I have and it works out great!

I did not add a seat. I just made another cushion to double the cushion height. Main concern was people could not see out the windshield.

Not to hijack the thread but, has the BP oil deal closed your fisheries yet?

Hasn't hit us yet but I'm guessing any day now...
