First of all I would like to thank Kevin and MaryJo for a great day! It was a pleasure meeting all who attended the raft up. Here are some photos from today.

I have some more, but they will have to wait....its been a long day! Again, many thanks to all who attnended and to Kevin for arranging the rendevous.

Brad

nice get together, enjoyed putting faces with the names. special thanks to kevin for his organizational skills, and coordinating the "northern boys" attendance. next time don't put me next to timbo.

fyi for kevin and anybody else that had questions on my propeller. could not remember the details so here you go. First you need to know a formula, plus your gear case ratio. mine is 1.86...200 ox-66.

Formula: For slippage...
rpm's divided by gear ratio (1.86) times ( X) pitch divided by 1056 = absolute guaranteed speed.

The prop is made by a company I believe from Louisiana, its name: Power Tech 318-688-1970, ask for tech assistance. you might need to know you boats weight mine for example is about 4100-4300 lbs.

As a starting point give them my name and they can tell what pitch etc. I have. these guys are very knowledgeable, also verify formula. write your questions down and call them. I believe they have test props they will let you try. I really like mine.

I had a great time yesterday. Thanks to Kevin and Mary Jo for organizing the event and to all the Parker clan who showed up. Here are two group photos I took when I left at about 12:30 to pick up my wife and daughter from a nearby dock.

Unlike last year, when I was the only center console represented, we had a variety of center consoles from 18' to 23' this year.

Brad - thanks a lot for posting the pics. It was nice meeting you and Jim. Looking forward to fishing with each of you.
Special thanks to Kevin and Mary Jo for organizing the event. It was great meeting everybody and I had a lot of fun.
I also want to thank Anthony and Donna for the tasty croaker and drum (or was it chicken and pork?).
And thanks go out to Dave for the excellent smoked bluefish and striper.
Brad - I was a little tired too by the time I got home.
Finally, I also want to thank the Esteemed Captain John Deering for calling me to make sure I got home alright.

Tim - that was the best tasking Drum and croaker I ever had....too bad we did not leave any for Capt. John to try.

Brad

Kevin,

Thanks you you and Mary Jo for all your efforts.

Really enjoyed the Parker Nation company, especially talking to Capt. John. I hope he didn't mind me drooling on his 23 SE.

The smoked bluefish was great. The Admiral told me to leave all the blues in the Bay, but I think I need to get a smoker and see if I can change her mind. :D :D :D

Thanks to all, especially Kevin and Mary Jo for putting this together.
I had a good time meeting and getting to know some of my fellow CP'ers better.
The various fish was great, especially the drum and the smoked blue.
Thanks for the pics guys, my wife especially got a kick out of the one with Joe-Da-Dog towing the noodle, she's still disapointed that she wasn't able to come along.
I'm already looking forward to next year!!!!!
Steve

I cannot take any credit for the Parker Raft-Up! All I needed to know was time of departure and what I was having for lunch... a WaWa sub. The bonus-- all the aforementioned goodies! It was fun to see everyone who made it to the 2nd annual Parker raft-up as well as meeting the newbies. I'm glad the PA boys could join us! Dale, you were sorely missed and I hope everything is going OK up there! MJ P.S. I hope I am posting this in the right place... :)

...forgot to mention what great "tour guides" Mary Jo and Kevin were...they were kind enough to extend the day and provide us "northern boys" (Capt. John Deering's term of admiration) a tour of Annaopolis via the water on the Megabyte. Now if I could only afford one of those water front properties near the Naval Academy!

Hey Jim... Check out this item that was posted today.

http://www.wusa9.com/news/news_article. ... ryid=61726

WASHINGTON (AP) -- National Geographic Adventure magazine has rated Annapolis (Maryland) one of the best waterfront towns in the country. The magazine's September issue names the country's best places to live, play and seek adventure.

Joining Annapolis on the list for best waterfront towns are Waimea, Hawaii; Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Newport, Rhode Island; Rockland, Maine; Grand Rapids, Michigan.; Mystic, Connecticut; and Beaufort, South Carolina.

The magazine says the best small towns include Iowa City, Iowa; Fayetteville, West Virginia; Spearfish, South Dakota; Bloomington, Indiana; Northampton, Massachusetts; and Lynchburg, Virginia.

Some of the best wilderness towns - meaning they offer access to forests, canyons, swamps, grasslands, prairies and other wild places - are Homer, Alaska; Cody, Wyoming; Flagstaff, Arizona; Valdosta, Georgia; and Medora, North Dakota.

The best mountain towns include Hanover, New Hampshire; Montpelier, Vermont; and New Paltz, New York.

If you're interested, I'll post the photos from the "tour" in a separate thread.

Kevin - I have lots of pictures from out tour - I will post them later. If people are not interested in them, it is ok to delete the post.
