2 of the keepers have fallen off the frame due to corrosion
I plan to repair the frames and reinstall the keepers
(Perko 967-000-CHR Windshield Keeper)

What is the preferred method to repair the frame and re install the keepers to prevent corrosion?

Should I paint them where they the contact the frame or using bedding compound?
