I plan to purchase a used parker sport cabin in the near future. A boat I am looking at is in good shape except for the aluminum window frames inside the cabin and the aluminum framing on the helm seats and side seats are pitted. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair this unsightly damage to the aluminum. Thank you for any constructive advise.

Hi Bay I have a similar issue with my boat I purchased last year. I have read a numerous amount on here about restoration and it appears to be either blast and paint or just clean up with Flitz the best you can. I have just wiped all trim down with WD-40 for now and will try the Flitz when I have time. I look forward to see if anyone has any other ideas I was unable to find.

Wipe the frames down each year with fluid film. Great stuff long lasting.

. . . ..love this stuff. Started using it last year (on everything!). . ..lasted the entire season on my skiff trailer without washing off. Just picked up 2-12 ounce cans and a 6 ounce can at the Saltwater show for $15!!

. . ...it will do a great job at keeping the windows from getting worse, but did you clean and repaint before you used it??

I thank all three of you very much for your input. Last night I did notice the search feature on this website. Great website! I typed in"pitted aluminum" and learned about fluid film, sharkhide, Flitz, W-D 40, and polishing smooth the aluminum and then painting. If I purchase the boat I will post my remedy for this damage.
Thanks again for your help.
